Gather 'round! The art of storytelling given by @theradioshaq himself. Check out part one of his fictional piece below.
Going to a new school can be mad intimidating right? Majority of the world knows that nervous feeling, and how scary that new splash can be. Meet Skip, he and his Mom Louise are transitioning from their home in New Orleans East to live with his Granny because they've been down on their luck financially as of late. Skip's Granny's house is in the Country, The Boonies, The Sticks, somewhere Skip has always had a certain disdain for, and on top of it all, he'll be attending a brand new High School, as a Freshman. During his stay, Skip goes through every emotional high, and low one can imagine, and what was previously his sure fire outlet, music, has been stripped away from him. Yo Mom! Where's my boom box?
7 AM sharp, Skip wakes up to the sound of pots, and pans banging together, as his Granny begins to prepare breakfast for him, and his younger cousin Brice who also lived with their Granny, along with Brice's mom Sharon, Skip's Aunt. Skip viewed his Granny's cooking as one of the few perks of living there with her. It was the first day of school so the night before Granny promised Skip, and Brice eggs, pancakes, sausage, waffles, toast, grits, ham, THE WORKS (Granny gets busy in the kitchen). Because of Granny's cooking Skip was actually looking forward to waking up this day, despite knowing that he would be attending a new school. Every morning Skip would roll over, and slap the top of his Boom Box to start his day, usually playing music from a wide range of artist, including anyone from Ray Charles, to Lil Wayne. Well this particularmorning Skip rolled over to slap the top of his boom box, and there was nothing there, gone, poof, vanished. He instantly turns his rage to Brice who he unwillingly shared a room with.

As you can see, day 1 of the first day at this new school was not starting well for Skip, and things
couldn't contact her to inquire about his missing boom box,
and he knew that asking his Granny would be obsolete, as he was sure she didn't
even know what a boom box was. So Skip skipped breakfast (no pun intended) and
headed to school with Brice for their first day, with only one thing on his
mind, where the heck could his boom box be!
As you can see, day 1 of the first day at this new school was
not starting well for Skip, and things
Were soon going to get worst.
