Daniel Heartless - 2K15 [Mixtape Review]

Great rappers are rare, great rappers who double as great artist are even more rare, Daniel Heartless has elevated to that rare status, the fans don't lie, and this mixtape doesn't lie.

Daniel Heartless 2K ratings on 2K15 Mixtape

Flow: 94 (There's not many artist in The City with better flows than Heartless. Neno Calvin's is in that same league, and a few other spittas, but I'd take his on any track. On this tape, although he rapped over industry beats, he made each track his own, which is important to delivering a long lasting mixtape.

Lyrics: 96 (When you talk relatibility, Daniel Heartless comes to mind every time. Bars that can resonate no matter who's listening, that's a rap gift. That's what the homie never skimps on, for that, he will always be considered a lyricist.

Metaphors: 98 (Metaphors isn't a category you can list with every rapper, most times they don't possess the skill, or wit it takes to come up with clever ones. Heartless' metaphors resemble Wayne's. Bold statement right? Listen to the mixtape. That same ability to draw the listener in, and flip their thought process with the punchline. Ironically 2K15 & Sorry For The Wait 2 dropped around the same time.

I could go track by track and let you know how the homie Daniel Heartless boxed this tape, but i'll just let you know that overall this was the perfect middle tape to drop before the album. In case anyone was forgetting that he was arguably the #1 rapper in the city, this tape with Hektik reminded them.

The way Hektik started the tape though!! Running that "Like A Man" back that many times, HEAT!! From there Heartless took it the rest of the way. Rocked each better with MAD aggression, and his overall presence was just a 99 on the track, perfect composure.

Heartless Gang waddup? TSR!
