Stream Mellow Panther's 'Sea of Eden, Dead Sea' project

NY's child of the water has been quiet musically for a little over two months, with no music being released by the Niagara Falls producer, I figured it was for good reason. That reason being the ambient 9-track ride that is Sea of Eden, Dead Sea. Do your ears a favor & enjoy the waves by streaming below.

BMB Spacekid - From Russia With Love [Mixtape]

I would like to introduce you guys to a producer all the way from Russia who goes by the name of BMB Spacekid. Sometime today, he released a mixtape (via his official website) filled with boogie & disco-funk with a 2015 feel to it that one could just sit back & vibe too. I personally have been paying attention to this creative soul since I heard a song him & GoldLink did about 2 years ago called Playah; & just recently they put out another track together called, FBGM (I suggest you familiarize yourself with both songs.) Stream/download the project below.

SPZRKT & Sango - Hours Spent Loving You [EP]

I have been enjoying the Soulection producer Sango's productions for quite some time now. His projects like Da Rocinha 2 & Sounds of Chimera are reasons why I actually take time out to research the engineers behind some of my favorite songs. That being said, you can pretty much understand how excited I was to learn he teamed with Georgia-born singer SPZRKT (Spazzy Rocket). The two work well together & it shows throughout the seven-track EP about the "summation of how relationships are viewed both earthly & heavenly." Each song contains a nice amount of soul with Sango adding the atmosphere/ambience. I do not know much about SPZRKT, but after listening to the first two tracks alone, he has peeked my interest & I shall do more digging. I can only hope that y'all reading this do the same. Stream below & download it here.

After fanning a few members of the collective group, (Allan Kingdom, Spooky Black, & Psymun) they all join forces with Bobby Raps & intrigued Grammy-winning producer Doc McKinney's attention, who also flew them to Toronto & recorded their first full-length album. Merna - The Calling [Album Stream]

It's Toronto-based songstress, Merna's first time here so make sure y'all show her some love & purchase her album that is available now on iTunes.

"A couple years ago, I woke up, a single woman in her mid 20's, after being in a very long, young, and reckless relationship with someone who was very much a reflection of myself: emotionally unavailable. I'm sure we loved the very best way that we knew how.

I moved around a lot as a child. It was a great experience, enriching for my soul and mind. Cultures, sounds, music, people...Beautiful.

However, it also left me with a kind of separation anxiety. It's human nature to want to hold on to things: materials, people, ideas, what people think of us, how we view ourselves. We're also so scared of dying, that we hold on to life, even if it's a life we'd rather change. Society has us so desensitized and distracted. I'm not sure we know how to listen to ourselves, to really feel, connect, live in our moments, evolve with nature, hear our call, to love.

The Calling is about all of these things. I collaborated with amazing producers, Makai Black and Ali Shaheed Muhammad, who created the most luscious, rich musical masterpieces so that I could tell my story.

What I want to leave you with, is a question I asked myself when I heard the call: "if not me, then who?"

I hope you love this as much as I do." - Merna
