Mid City AB - We Gon Ball


Strength Of The Record: We have become accustomed to hearing Mid City AB's groundbreaking lyrics, but on this particular record he showcased his ability to bar the audience to death. Punchlines, witty lines, but still those crazy (MidCityAB over your head lyrics). AB's one of the few artist in The City that can combine really strong lyrical ability, with the actual talent of rap. Some artist possess crazy rap ability, but lack substance, some artist dig really deep for substance, but don't always have the rap talent to match. This is indeed a rarity, and one that makes for great music. Potential Of The Record: If anyone was still sleeping on AB after Letter To New Orleans they should listen to "We Gon Ball" and wake up! Sonically "We Gon Ball" sounds like it could have made Letter To New Orleans. But because it dropped later, I think it can give the homie AB a whole new momentum, and a whole new wave of listeners.

Mr Buhleedat - Couple Niggas


Strength Of The Record: BARS! BARS! The homie Buhleedat always sends me these bombs, and he's definitely one of the hardest working spittas in the game right now. Always locked in the studio, and you can tell by how progressively better his bars are getting.

Neno Calvin has everybody in the city screaming "this aint New Orleans, this NENOLA..." his movement is crazy right now, and it's only getting stronger as Winter Bash at Carver Theatre approaches.
